EARLY CHILDHOOD
julia's childhood consisted mostly of lavish parties that her mother hosted and a general desire for escapism that came with them. she spent much of her time reading the fillory & further books, and once she met quentin, their imaginations became their guides. almost all their freetime was spent pretending they were the protagonists of the series, looking for magical portals to enchanted worlds and pretending to cast spells and make potions.ADOLESCENTS/EARLY TEENS
though quentin struggled more with aspects of growing up, by the time puberty began to set in, julia was excited to be more like her older sister; she wanted to wear makeup and talk to boys and go to parties. and it wasn't hard for her to break out of the bookish, mousy exterior she had had in her youth.
she gained popularity in high school, but she didn't let this change her relationship with quentin in the slightest, happy enough to slip back into old childhood habits whenever he needed her... much to her high school boyfriends dismay.
